TIFF Page Images are processed to Produce PDF Image Only Files.
PDF Image Plus Hidden Text
PDF Image + Text W/O Additional Cleanup
TIFF Page Images are processed in Acrobat Capture to produce PDF Image Plus Hidden Text files. No additional cleanup work is performed on the files.
PDF Image + Text With Additional Cleanup: TIFF Page Images are processed in Acrobat Capture to produce ACD files for Capture Reviewer. ACD files are cleaned up by Review Editors in Capture Reviewer. Suspect and missing text is edited. When all suspects are edited, PDF Image + Hidden Text files are generated. Final "vanilla" PDF volumes are created. Navigation links and other enhancements can later be made to these PDF volumes using Acrobat Exchange.
PDF Normal: Bitonal, Grayscale, and Color TIFF Page Images are created. These files are processed in Acrobat Capture to produce ACD files for Capture Reviewer. These are the files that will be cleaned up prior to producing PDF Normal files. One ACD file is produced per page. Pages are grouped into volumes and placed in separate folders and can be burned onto CD-R.Capture Reviewer Cleanup to PDF Normal. ACD Files are cleaned up to produce PDF Normal files, one per page. Suspect and missing text is cleaned up by Reviewer operators. Page formatting is corrected. Any equations and illustrations are marked so as to create graphic objects of these in the PDF file. The PDF files are compiled into publication volumes. These PDF volumes are then Distilled with Acrobat Distiller to produce final "vanilla" PDF volumes. Navigation links and other enhancements can later be made to these PDF volumes using Acrobat Exchange. When the ACD files are completely cleaned, PDF Normal files are generated.
Custom Page Cleanup Work: Pages that require extensive cleanup work will be quoted separately. These include covers or other materials rendered in color or with custom fonts, pages with shaded backgrounds which are difficult to text-recognize, pages with complex layouts or other unique characteristics including type smaller than 8 point, tables, spreadsheets, graphs. The cost for custom page work supersedes the normal cost for page cleanup.
Distillation of PDF Normal: PDF Normal files created with Acrobat Capture can be optimized by processing them with Acrobat Distiller.
